Designation: Senior Engineer – Linux & Big Data - Hadoop
Primary duties include:
Work with the Analytics team to identify big data analytics needs and requirements
Ensure the architecture supports all functional and non-functional requirements
Develop and maintain big data platform including components such as Hadoop
Distributed Filesystem (HDFS), Spark, Hive, HBase, Sqoop, etc.
Monitor and tune cluster performance and advise/implement any necessary
infrastructure changes
Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure technical development;
recommend improvements
Experience in architecture and implementation of large and highly complex projects
Experience implementing open source big data systems frameworks (Specifically
components within the Apache big data stack)
Proficiency/understanding of distributed computing principles and languages (e.g. Java,
SQL, Bash, Python)
Expert knowledge and experience in maintaining, administrating and managing Linux
servers in a virtualized environment.
Preference for experience provisioning resources in Azure but not required
Implement and manage all Linux security to ensure integrity and consistency among the
various Linux Infrastructure.

frameworks and ability to choose and implement the proper tools given project requirements.
Experience & Certifications
Excellent communication skills
6+ years of computing experience in Linux including 4+ years experience with big data
platforms
RHCE or any certification in Hadoop is mandatory
