Job Title : Wireless Network Support Engineer

Qulification: Any Degree

Experience: 2-3 Years or more

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Working with customers/employees to identify computer problems and advising on the solution
  • Provide telephone, email, remote and on-site support for internal and external requirements
  • Logging and keeping records of customer queries
  • Analysing call logs so you can spot common trends and underlying problems
  • Updating self-help documents providing customers/employees with the information to fix problems
  • Working with field engineers to resolve customers issues when required
  • Working with developers to test and implement system patches
  • Testing and fixing faulty equipment
  • Assisting in the design, creation and running of production and development environments (based on Linux)
  • Configuring and maintaining internal network and hardware
  • Utilising existing tools or writing scripts to automate tasks
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for all systems
  • Support and maintain server/desktop infrastructure
  • Documenting in appropriate systems client support issues and actions, providing a detailed description(s) as well as troubleshooting steps and resolution
  • Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and upgrading of servers, workstations

Technical Requirements:

  • At least 1 year experience in a WiFi environment
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting wireless controllers and access points such as Cisco, Ruckus, Meraki etc
  • SQL experience, MySQL, report writing
  • Networking - DHCP, DNS, IP/TCP, VLANs and Switching Routers,
  • WiFi Hardware (Access Points and Controllers)
  • Good working knowledge of Mobile OS platforms - iOS, Android
  • Linux Systems Administration experience
  • Maintaining and supporting AWS infrastructure, including Elastic Beanstalk, Route 53, ELB, SES
  • Cloud Services Administration
  • Experience in the Amazon EC2 environment including the setup of load-balanced instances and RDS systems
  • Experience of deploying virtual machines under VMWare
  • Systems and process experience
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge
  • An in depth understanding of the software and equipment your customers are using
  • An understanding of the role of Service Level Agreements (SLA's) within an IT environment
